Art is his passion and he's been working in the industry for approx. 17 years designing and manufacturing high quality artists canvases of all shapes and sizes, easels and hanging systems. Designing and manufacturing furniture and hanging art in homes and businesses. Don has long been fascinated with the colours and textures of rust, inspired by the use of rusty steel as a design feature in some modern buildings, he wanted to see what he could do with it. Using 1.2mm Cold rolled mild steel sheet, the highest quality zinc phosphate primers, acrylic enamels and resins he starts with only a basic idea of what he wants to achieve. They form organically and several times have ended up different to the idea to what he initially started with as he doesn't have complete control in the manipulation and formation of the rust.
