Peter Latham

Peter was a keen photographer from an early age, but didn't turn professional until 1989 when he embarked on a bicycle expedition of the South Island, along with 20kg of camera equipment. A self-taught photographer, he spent many years travelling the world as a photographer on cruise ships, returning to N.Z in 2003, when he began experimenting with images on canvas. Most of his work highlights the diverse beauty of N.Z's grand landscape and flora. Peter carries out all the photography, printing, varnishing, stretching and assembly himself.
