Mal Bouzaid
Mal Bouzaid lives on Great Barrier Island in the Hauraki Gulf. This rugged island protects the gulf from winter storms and summer gales. It is covered in regenerating kauri and bush and surrounded by sea. There is an overwhelming multitude of blues and greens which stimulate Mal's imagination and are reflected in her work.
In an old shearing shed converted to a studio, Mal spends many hours creating her acrylic on canvas landscape paintings.
Bouzaid continues to exhibit throughout New Zealand and her work can be found in many private and public collections.
