Helen Goodear (Figtree)

Helen Goodear (Figtree) has been painting and exhibiting since 1990. She was born in far northern New South Wales and studied in Sydney and in Brisbane, gaining a Diploma of Teaching, with a major in expressive and performing arts. Goodear then traveled throughout Australia, Asia and Europe, living and working in London and Auckland before settling in Melbourne. Her work encompasses sharp macro oil pastels of botanical subjects through to softer pastels and water colours of landscapes, flowers and still life and is found in collections in Australia, New Zealand and the UK.
